Hi, I’m Angela.

And this is the I AM pivot180 blog — a space for women (and whoever else feels called) to return to their true nature, and remember who they really are beneath the noise.

Let’s get one thing clear from the start:
I’m a Dutch green card holder.
Privileged — yes — not just because of when or where I was born, or the form I happen to embody…

but because my story began in joy.
I was the love child of two deeply connected, wildly-in-love souls who decided to chase the American Dream — with baby me in tow. We immigrated from Holland when I was one.

From my tiny point of view, life in America pulsed at a very high frequency.
Not ordinary. Magical.

While my Dutch cousins lived lives that were lovely and grounded — I had landed in Oz.

Lucky me.

I knew it was special.
Even as a child, I was innately grateful for the life I had here.

That early “vibration” of Life as I knew it, shaped me.

It planted the seeds of what I now know to be true:

We are not just flesh and circumstance.
We are sovereign, eternal energy — born into different forms, on purpose — to find our way back to truth.

After 25 years living abroad, I returned — serendipitously — to Annapolis, Maryland, just

before COVID. Everyone warned me:

“America isn’t what you remember.”
“It’s changed. You’re idealizing it.”
“It’s divided. Violent. Lost.”

Refusing to believe that nonsense. I came anyway. Maybe with rose-colored glasses…
But those lenses?
They’ve since shattered.

What I see now — with absolute clarity — is this:

The chaos, cruelty, and corruption playing out in front of us?
This is not about politics.

It’s about energy.

We are energy.
One energy.
Eternal. Equal. Interconnected. Interdependent.
All stemming from the same Divine Source.
(Some call it God. All know it as Our Creator.)

We’ve been living inside systems — inherited, colonial, patriarchal systems — that disconnected us from that truth.

Now, after lifetimes of doing “everything right,” so many women are quietly asking:

“Is this really all there is?”
“Why does everything feel so off?”
“What’s wrong with me?”

The answer?

Nothing.
There’s nothing wrong with you.
You’re just waking up.

I believe — from lived experience — that white women, in particular, have a sacred role to play in this moment.
Not out of guilt.
Not out of shame.
But because we are resourced enough, safe enough, and positioned just right to lead a new way forward.

But our “privilege” is powerless…
until we reconnect with our own true nature.

This blog is an invitation.
To reflect.
To remember.
To reclaim the you that was always there — before the world told you who to become.
